Time: 3,5 h
Difference in height: 500 m
Trail length: Walking route 13 Km - Mountain bike route 17 Km

DESCRIZIONE The path starts from the square near the Ice Hockey Stadium and reaches the War Memorial square, from where, following a small unpaved road you can reach Zocchi quarter. After a while among the houses the path crosses again the pastures reaching Bertigo quarter. From here, sometimes continuing in a forest road and sometimes along a path, you can reach first Monte Valbella ridge and then, passing through Melago valley, Col del Rosso, from where you go down to the village of Sasso di Asiago.
The entire path follows the last part of the “805 CAI path”, or the Tilman way. It starts in Falcade and arrives to Asiago retracing the travel that the Major H. W. Tilman, responsible for the allied commands of Belluno area, during “The Resistance”, did to reach his place of command.
For those who want to retrace the travel by mountain-bike, there are some small variants which allow the transit along the forestry practicability.
The path, that goes across woods and pastures, is interesting, from the naturalistic point of view and landscape, going along tracts inside beech woods that during the Autumn months offer a colourful scenery of unparalleled beauty, both from the historical point of view for the presence of numerous places related to the First World War and particularly to the “Tre Monti Battle”.
From the village of Sasso, you can take the descent to the valley following the famous “Calà del Sasso” (778 CAI Path), a 4444 steps stairway which reaches the town of Valstagna, used in past to bring the wood to the valley that through the river Brenta would reach Venice.
