PLATEAU FROM THE SKY

Asiago has one of the few Italian airports in the mountains, and one of the oldest in Italy. The “Romeo Sartori” has an asphalt runway for small tourist aircrafts, as well as grass slopes for gliders.

Asiago Plateau represents a convenient area for gliding, due to its geographical location, favourable updrafts, thermal air currents, calm and dry weather conditions without fog and strong winds.
